as commissioned by Nancy A. Nasher and David J. Haemisegger Family for SOLUNA
Multimedia artist and professional figure skater Jennifer Wester (Yale ‘16) explores how light and shadow affect movement in even their most monochromatic forms in this whimsical world-premiere performance.
Wester does the unimaginable as she transforms a Dallas parking lot into a magical ice skating rink, utilizing synthetic ice, lighting and projection while performing against an original music composition of sounds harvested from her own skates.
Meet the artist: For the Yale Club of Dallas, Jennifer has agreed to host an informal talk following her performance on May 19th. Learn more about her inspiration and experience in this intimate gathering.
