Campus Culture at Yale Today: How

Students Learn that Other People Are Real

The guest speaker at our Annual Dinner will be Hannah Peck ’11 MDiv, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs in the Yale College Dean’s Office. Dean Peck oversees activities for first-year students, serves as the university’s liaison with student organizations, and works on student issues and other surprises that come up during the year. She is thus superbly positioned to be a keen observer of current campus life at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. She will talk about what it’s like to be a Yale student today; how student life on campus has been changing in recent years; how the two new residential colleges are impacting the entire university; and how Yale is planning to bring undergrads, graduate and professional students closer together through the activities of the new Schwarzman Center currently under construction. After her remarks she will be delighted to answer questions from the floor.
